PERTH -
Integra Mining Ltd (ASX: IGR) said today that the primary crusher has been installed and the secondary and tertiary crushers for the Randalls gold project were nearing completion.
The ball mill will be installed next week, while pre-strip mining was also progressing well and ahead of budget despite recent rain.
Integra raised eyebrows about two years ago when it discovered the Salt Creek deposit near the Randalls mining camp to dramatically lift the potential of that area.
By early this year the Randalls area, mainly from the Salt Creek and high-grade Maxwells deposit had a total resource of 10.8 million tonnes grading 3.3 grams/tonne for 1.13 M oz.
The Maxwells deposit has 2.4 Mt @ 5.2 g/t while Salt Creek has 4.6 Mt @ 2.3 g/t.
As well as these two open pits there are deeper ore positions in the Randalls area that has already seen studies undertaken for underground mining.
Integra also holds the Aldiss gold project, further east of Kalgoorlie which has a resource of 7 Mt @ 2 g/t gold for 500,000 oz and the emerging Monger joint venture with Newcrest Mining which already has an established resource of 2 Mt @ 2 g/t for 200,000 oz.
Last week Integra reported new wide intersections from the discovery zone at the Majestic prospect in the Monger JV that included 29 metres grading 4.62 g/t, including 1m @ 58.28 g/t; 18m @ 3.9 g/t and 7m @ 4.4 g/t gold.
Drilling a further 40m south showed an extension target with hits including 21m $ 3.88 g/t, including 3m @ 11.05 g/t; 22m @ 3.58 g/t, including 2m @ 14.15 g/t; and 4m @ 7.6 g/t gold.
Integra, as search manager, holds 85% of the Monger JV and Newcrest has the balance.
