Well good to catch another one out the cheek of poster who think there claims wont be checked.
Several Kent towns are bucking the gloomy national trend by seeing house price rises rather than falls, according to new figures.
Although house prices nationally have slumped by up to 17 per cent in the past year, properties in Canterbury, Dartford, Gravesham, Sevenoaks and Shepway are selling for more than they did a year ago.
The county’s buoyant economy and the prospect of high-speed domestic trains to London from next year are helping to fuel the rises, it is claimed.
In Canterbury, prices rose by four per cent in september to december 2008 – up from the two per cent rise they saw in January to March, according to major lender Nationwide.
There is also good news for homeowners in Shepway, with property prices going up five per cent in the second quarter.
The latest figures showed prices in Dartford and Gravesend were both up. Maybe redmonds playing monopoly and sold Old kent rd and mistook it for Kent lol.
But I do admit statically Kent was down 5% for the 2008 calendar year but as I posted some places actually rose but makes me laugh at the figures some quote to meet there own ends.
