Yes many cross trades today.. this has been the pattern since the spike if you go back and look.
Two possibilities:-
1. Manipulation of price by bigger players buying and selling between two accounts on the same platform ...
Or
2. Many small investors from popular platforms such as comsec/etrade trading simultaneously.
My understanding of cross trades ... X trades occur when a broker finds two trades on their own platform which may be matched (ie a buy and a sell) before sending off to the ASX to match..therefore they execute the trade and then inform the ASX of the result... Thats my understanding
So perhaps a bit of both the above...
