Unitization is one thing that comes to mind, but that is a legal issue that will take some time to sort out. Much more important in the short run would be development plans. When it comes to water injector wells, it will be a benefit to know the lateral extent of the reservoir before doing too much planning.

All in all, it is probably worthwhile for everyone to find out as soon as possible whether any part of SNE connects with any part on the Gambia side. I do, however, think this is more of an issue for Soloo and Bambo, based on the info that FAR has released.

Hi Oldisgold the SNE FPSO is designed around that JV's requirements and will be fully occupied with SENEGAL for many years , if SAMO is a duster it's probable anything discovered in SOLOO/BAMBO would eventually be used by SNE's FPSO years down the track if they didn't meet stand a lone requirements... conversely if SAMO is a stand a lone commercial success then SOLOO /BAMBO would become a plug in for that FPSO years down the track.

Effectively any Oil found in GAMBIA would become stranded for many years if relying on the SNE FPSO, so it's imperative for SAMO or at worst a SAMO/ SOLOO/BAMBO combination, to create a stand a lone project and that requires a minimum of around 200 Mmbbls....put another way, without a short term path to production any oil found in GAMBIA would have little value....
