There is constant talk by the EPT management about a JV with a big Pharma. It is mentioned at their website and again in the reply to the ASX's proce query. On the surface of things a JV would Strengthen EPT's position but in reality the the long term share price would suffer terribly- due to the big pharma taking a lot of the profits. EPT's other options would be to take out a loan or to issue more shrares- they must be starting to run a little low on cash- Still a few million left though. I think that there may be never be a JV deal- perhaps it is a bluff to keep the market happy- I hope so. Just my opinion though.
