No that's not what I've read. The man started it by coming up to him while he was sitting down at a bus stop, where he attacked the youth after a verbal altercation where the guy started off by calling him a faggot and that he hated faggots. The only provocation I can see here is that the youth defended himself by saying "that's ok I don't like you as well".
Here is a comment from the Oz on the guy:
"The 19-year-old was attacked in the riverside suburb of Bulimba, in east Brisbane yesterday morning by a man who was tearing down rainbow flags which had been put up by local Yes campaigners and yelling slurs about gay people."
I don't know about you, but I'm seeing a pattern emerging here. One question for you, why do you think the No campaign is cometely innocent?
