They still have to buy the shares at the Sp at the time of purchase if they want their 1 for 8 and 1 free option, New investor's still have to pay the current value to benefit. Considering that there are not many shares being sold with this tightly held stock, I'm not seeing the problem here.
I prefer to see the upside here rather than half empty approach.
