Haha. Many years ago I was driving home from a friend's 21st (after only a couple of drinks, of course...) and got pulled over for a breath test. As I went to pull in to the designated bay, my gear lever popped out of the top of the gearbox! (A rather common problem on the XF Falcon, as I discovered soon after.)
So, after a red-faced explanation of what just happened to the copper, they were very good about it and helped me push it out of the way to the side of the road.
Then she said "And it's your really lucky day, you get to do a breath test too! Have you had any drinks tonight?" "Yes, officer, a couple quite a few hours ago. But I'm going to pour myself some very stiff ones when I get home!"
Anyway, no issues on the breath test (you didn't believe me, did you?), and she flagged down a taxi for me. Poor cabbie said he was sh*ing himself when he got pulled over, because he only had one point left on his license!
