That reply was more rounded DDzx, and pretty much spot on. What I know about men is that they do not have the natural capacity to be the spiritual support that women crave for during times of crisis. Women often forget what men are all about - spiritual support is always there, but it is just not obvious to the female. When a man is there for a woman then that is, in essence, the greatest gift he could give, even if he is unable to say the 'right words' that she so desperately wants to hear. Men aren't as articulate or as sensitive as women are and cannot think like women do. When a women 'demands' spiritual support then I can guarantee you this - that a man would suddenly become like a fish out of water. The more a woman demands mental support the more distant her partner would become. That is why women need their mums around, or their sisters, so that the guys can do what they are best at - like fixing the roof, or putting number plates frames on the HSV - now we're talking!

Men, and not just women, are confused. And the reasons why they are all confused is that the gender roles mixed up. There is too much resentment as a result - women don't respect men because men aren't being men; they're being door mats that vacuum the floors, feed and clothe the babies. Why, because these men have said "yes", and in doing so have lost the respect that they should command.
