Civilisation was actually started by woman, just as woman is the nucleus of a stable family.
Humans were first hunters and gatherers. Hunting is the male domain. Gathering is the female domain.
Then civilisation was born around agricultural societies, where the gathers, namely, women, learned to sow seed rather than gather. Agricultural societies are a woman's domain. Agriculture gives birth to stable societies or civilisation.
If we read the Bible, Moses instructed his people to destroy all of the various gods, which included the female agricultural/fertility gods.
As agricultural societies became more wealthy, they were invaded by nomads or hunters & gatherers. The need for war gave rise for patriarchy in CIVILISATION because military is the male domain.
But civilisation was started by women and not by man.
You sound confused.

In view of the large number of figurines[52] found in the Indus valley, it has been widely suggested that the Harappan people worshipped a Mother goddess symbolizing fertility.
