That will only work if the share price will appreciate to the averaged levels of someone's entry.

And that will only apply as well if the company will remain in our hands long enough to reach that level as well.

Any investor should know all of that, and more. There are many risks involved with the averaging down of share prices and I should know of it because I got caught out myself many times in the past.

Hence why professional traders, "NO NOT ME", are calling that action "Catching the falling knife" or something along those lines.
