I had a year where I didn't know where home was. I wasn't going back to the place I had spent the last 7 years, I'd only spent a few days in the place I was going next, and I wasn't staying in the place I lived that year.
34 years later, I'm still in that 'place I was going next'. I think that makes me a 'local'.
