I assume you have been told by "someone in the know" that this Sumatran coal has a low calorific value, so nobody wants to buy it. Are you saying that the party involved in the JV and offtake agreement discussions have withdrawn from the deal negotiations? Or are they haggling to buy the coal at a lower price?
Because of the limited info which you have shared with us, I am trying to determine if the deal is now off. Or is this just part of the argy bargy of the negotiation process? Or is someone drip feeding you pieces of the story, but not the whole story, for some other reason?
Do you know who or what nationality the strategic investor is?
I would appreciate any additional info that you have been given on the coal JV negotiations.
