the focus on Creationism is completely irrelevent to religion & the question of morals. what does the creation of the physical matter have to do with 'religion', which in its most modern forms, seeks to free the human psyche

for example, Buddhism is a religion that sides with evolutionary theory & natural principles and the moral guidelines established in Buddhism are far superior to those of Judeo-Christianity-Islam

moral principles arise from having a nervous system, that can feel/know pleasure & pain; that can empathise. in short, what is called a 'conscience'

possessing a human conscience does not conflict with evolutionary theory. it simply points to the fact that the human mind has evolved beyong that of a monkey

yet human beings still share many commonalities to monkeys, such as two eyes, two ears, nose, tongue, four limbed body, bodily organs, a brain, reproductive urges & emotions related to reproduction such as love for children, anger towards danger, fear of danger, etc

evolutionary theory offers the opportunity to develop empathy with & to understand man's relationship with the natural world, of which it is intrinsically bound

most non-Judaic/Christian cultures historically had religions instrincally bound with a connection to the natural world, which they understood they depended on

but Judaic/Christian doctrine has from the beginning alienated man from the natural world, which has also lead to man's spiritual & existential alientation

the Bible says:

Genesis 1:28
God said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”
