    Hi Console,

I haven't seen it before and agree with you totally. Those are the sort of product areas that would be very amenable to OBJ technology. The fact that they have classifed the development stage as 'commercialisation' is important.

Someone (probably abdm) has made reference to the below I think, which is taken from the site:

"Unique physical (not chemical) polymeric emulsification system, combined with specific actives, emulsion-making and homogenization techniques give excellent storage stability; rapid de-emulsification on contact with skin to release oil phase for cleansing and delivery of active ingredients"

The 'physical (not chemical) polymeric emulsification system' I expect is to ensure a specific particle size distribution profile between polar and non-polar ingredients (within the carrier matrix) during the final homogenisation stage. I'm not sure that this would include OBJ tech? I expect that the P&G technology might be for a variety (3) of carrier matrices for trans-surface delivery systems.

I'd fully expect that OBJ tech would be a very simple bolt-on to this P&G developed carrier matrix and further enhance the surface penetration.

It appears that P&G want to on-sell this tech via non-exclusive license to anyone with an active ingredient?

These patents were issued in 1997 and 2000 and come unencumbered with much in the way of restrictions. Although I am unsure of the requirements in the event of a OBJ magnetophoretic bolt on?

If this does relate to our JDA, teeth are not referred to in P&G's version, so I guess GSK still retains that area.

    Thanks for posting
