Best remuneration package of the year: Alan Shortall
The chief executive of the retractable syringe company Unilife received an $11.09 million remuneration package for the year to June 30. Not bad for someone who heads a company which reported a $29.8 million loss for the year, and is yet to start making syringes (on a commercial scale) eight years since its listing. Unilife, which is based in the US, has racked up about $80 million of losses since floating.
