The timeline for the issuing of a licence is normally 20 days provided the licence application is completed under the supervision of a registered consultant. The consultant is accountable and must be satisfied that the licensee is in compliance with all appropriate regulations. This should not be an issue provided the planning process has been thorough.

It is acceptable for a licensee to make application without engaging the services of a registered consultant but in this case, the 20 day timeline will not apply. Most dangerous goods licence applications in WA are completed under the supervision of a registered consultant.
