They’re an ill- wind from when they blow in until they’ve finished and exit substantial.
Shows the might an enormous holdings and sway of Mitsubishi however. (Shares are effectively borrowed for shorting?, trading in the stock anyway)

Sumitomo own quite a lot of Mitsubishi or a significant ownership relationship- as I also understand things to be.
But unrelated to MUFG activities. MUFG just make obscene amounts of money, generally known & understood to be shorters in stocks.
Can’t fight them while they’re present. But is good when they leave.

On a positive note or who knows in bigger picture- Japanese interests likely going to be very important for major resources developments, and investment generally here in Oz into the next years.
This year be a lot of talking and overall assessments & final planning and feasibilities and funding to be hopefully raised for a lot of future critical metals expansion. Health stocks also actually- Sumitomo Health and medical is not insubstantial in the world.

Sumitomo are very major global copper producers, one of the majors, and I believe likely will expand in Australia.
They’re interested in the Cloncurry region and already in JV partnerships.

I’m wondering if they going to move into mining in the area? High chance to the west of town they might if resources add up for them. Sumitomo currently mine and operate in NSW copper porphyry country at Northparkes.
