With mining projects there is a step by step process to go through. Pre-feasibility study, feasibility study, etc. No doubt it is the same with gas and oil. They won't announce the funding deal until it's time for that part of the process. But you know PM is preparing for it because the last bloke that was appointed to NWE is ex Woodside and his announced 'special value to NWE' is that he knows how to sell gas.

Everybody should read the latest presentation on the NWE website. I think it says more than the asx announcements with regards to the plan forwards. We will have to wait for the flow testing to finish, then the 3D survey results. AFTER all that comes the commercial decision/announcement.

I also suspect like a few others, that the big players are stacking the sell side and trying to frighten the little people. Everyone would do well to remember the fundamentals of the company and be patient.
