This topic has been done to death so many times but the genetic marker test for ensuring a herd is absolutely A2 is patented and owned by A2 Milk.

A2 Milk pioneered the product, the public knows that, and they are the first mover. Brand awareness, respect and trust is very high.

Anyone attempting to replicate the approach has to a) develop some new means of preparing an A2 only herd, b) more or less copy A2's product without incurring lawsuits, c) do it cheaper, d) do it better

That's a high risk business proposal.

Would be competitors are better off finding a new niche and pushing it like some other mobs are doing (Munchkin, Bubs etc)
