Lets be more specific, it is the the Chinese (all the Asians???) who buying up as much IF as they can get. No one has the right to go up to a stranger and intimidate/stick any item in their face/ or lay a finger or anything on them regardless! Because when you do this, you have right to call the Police and yes you will be prostituted and have a criminal record for assault. The Chinese/Daigou must remember there will be consequences when you do not follow the rules of buying 2 tins only in one day.

Chinese Daigou/people or anyone cannot send IF to China from NZ unless you apply for an export license. This involves a whole lot of paper work and costs!!
The NZ govt have put restrictions and rules in place to protect and keep our product safe!!

    https://www.foodsafety.govt.nz/elibrary/industry/infant-formula-factsheet-english.pdf

EXPORTS OF INFANT FORMULA TO CHINA Exports of dairy products are important to the New Zealand economy. In fact, more than 90 percent of the milk and milk products produced here are shipped to overseas markets, making up more than NZ$13 billion in annual export earnings. Under New Zealand law (Animal Products Act 1999) only registered exporters can export dairy products (“dairy material” for the purposes of the Animal Products Act 1999). Infant formula is covered by this Act as it is a dairy product. These rules are in place to ensure that infant formula is safe and suitable for babies, no matter where in the world they are.

As for the Aussie govt they are a laughing stock and they are putting our NZ product/s at risk by allowing them to be exported around the world without a paper trail. If the Aussie Govt were to apply the same rules of making people apply for the appropriate license, it would bring in a lot of money for them and it will be keep our product/s safe from sabotage/tampering as one example.

I am going to write to the NZ PM and our Minister of Trade suggesting it is time for them to put pressure on the Aussie Govt to start applying the same rules we have in NZ to protect our products that are exported to other countries from Australia.
