people taking profits are ok, but there is a chance you will be locked out from entry at a lower price.
If your reentry is $2.70, you would not have been able to reenter today as the price only fell to $2.74
in addition you have to pay brckerage each way and cgt on the sale.
You might not make anything out of it and not have any shares to enjoy a profit for the part of the share price gain above $2.84
just need to keep it all in mind
