Yes I thought and hoped for the same too.
They could undertake similar size buybacks each year and not even touch the existing cash balance since it is within annual earnings amount.
Makes a lot more sense as a routine capital investment strategy (which sees a compounding benefit in terms of EPS growth) rather than a one-off (which is a nice signal to the market that the SP is undervalued, but not much else).
