excuse me for my late answer! I unfortunately missed your posting! The Chinese Dairy Industry is on a good move to adapt more and more to the standards of the traditional milk countries! But regarding competition China won’t be able to produce high quality milk at the same costs as e.g. NZ! The big farms have to buy in most omy f the feeding and this can’t be compensated by labor or cheap technology!

I have seen a lot of dairy farms but not one for a2 milk production! 3 years ago a high level Chinese delegation visited Europe! I asked them directly about their activities for a2 milk production! The answer was surprising for me - „yes, we have a nucleus herd in our province with 600 A2A2 cows!“

But I am not really concerned that they will be a big competitor for a2m!

Dairy farming is economically a big challenge for Chinese agriculture!

I would raise the same question like the Chinese government - „Why should we produce milk at high costs and lower quality and pollute our rural areas when we have the best milk for affordable price in front of our house??
