Apparently will take at least 2 months to get to the shelves, and that initial production is prioritising specialised formula for allergies etc. Even after the formula that has been imported from abroad in recent weeks, the commercial shortage has actually gotten worse, because much of the imported product is going straight to hospitals for pediatricians to distribute.
It is difficult to see how any parent could use an Abbott product again after the unsanitary conditions described by the FDA. Unfortunately however many don't have a choice due to the domestic monopoly that Abbott has resulting in them being the only producer of the specialist formula.
