I'll put this prediction here since I am bored posting virus stuff in other threads.

WHO meets in 11 hours time to decide if the Virus should become a Public Health Emergency of International Concern. My money is on they won't. Its only a flu variant and not some new man eating type disease. Really no big drama.

Sure numbers are escalating but mainly in china borders. Death rate isn't that high - currently 170 out of nearly 8,000 cases. Which should come as no surprise since those dying are the elderly and all ready immune deficient. While severe cases are reported the recovery rate is pretty good - 133 have recovered.

Markets seem to be working hard to drive markets down - so could be some really good buying by close today. Look fro an upturn tomorrow.

(Of course I could be totally wrong!)

In the meantime NZ is stil managing the dreaded Measles Outbreak of 2019 which has killed a couple of people out of 2,193 confirmed cases
