Did the doctor actually do the lactose test...obviously not because had he done so your friend would have been diagnosed or confirmed that he/she was lactose intolerant. a2mc has never held a2 milk out as being anymore beneficial to lactose intolerance sufferers than standard milk, despite recent tests showing that a2 milk does not have the same effect on lactose intolerance sufferers as standard milk. What you friend has from what you are saying is a1 intolerance.
Anyone who thinks that a2 milk is a marketing exercise needs to read the screed of anecdotal evidence available online. 10% of Australians are not dumb enough to believe that there is no nutritional benefit in a2 milk and pay a premium for it
