    About:
The Bald Hill Tantalum Project is located approximately 60 kilometres south east of Kambalda and around 50 kilometres east of Widgiemooltha, in the Eastern Goldfields' Coolgardie Municipal area, of Western Australia.
Bald Hill Project Covers an Area of 59,000 Hectares

The Bald Hill Project extends over an area of 59,000 hectares that consists of; eight exploration licences, eight prospecting licences, four mining leases, a retention licence, a general purpose licence and other varied licences.
The total Tantalum Mineral Resource at the Bald Hill mine site, which alone covers 3,000 hectares, stood at 2.580 million tonnes, grading at 352 parts per million of Tantalum pentoxide in March, 2014. This included an indicated Resource of around 2.470 million tonnes averaging 351 parts per million tantalum and an inferred Resource totaling 110,000 tonnes averaging 360 parts per million of Tantalum. The majority of the resource was found to be located in the mine's central area where the Hill View, Hills End, South Pit, West Pit and North Pit deposits exist. Additional tantalum resource is located at the Creekside and Boreline deposits.
Bald Hill Project Being Developed by Alliance Mineral Assets Limited (AMAL)

The Bald Hill Project is being developed by Alliance Mineral Assets Limited (AMAL), the first tantalum miner to be listed on the Singapore Exchange Securities. Alliance Mineral Assets Limited, has established it headquarters in Perth, where it is currently focused on the mining and processing of tantalum from its Bald Hill operation.
AMAL obtained government approval to begin mining tantalite at the Bald Hill Boreline Pit in October, 2014. In April 2015 the company had completed the refurbishment of the Bald Hill Primary Processing Treatment Plant. During the commissioning stage of the treatment plant it produced a concentrate that allowed the commissioning of its Secondary Beneficiation Plant located at Boulder, near Kalgoorlie. While carrying out the commissioning of the two processing plants AMAL continued to produce quality Tantalite concentrate. Oxidised ore from the Boreline Pit was stored at the Run of Mine (ROM) pad while awaiting processing.
In July, 2015, executives from Mitsubishi inspected the Secondary Beneficiation Plant at Boulder, to examine the final concentrate being produced. The assay results at the time surpassed their initial expectations.
Bald Hill Mine Initially Operated by Haddington International Resources Limited

The Bald Hill Tantalum deposits were originally mined by Haddington International Resources Limited, in July, 2001, in conjunction with Sons of Gwalia, with the first shipment of Tantalite concentrate sent to Sons of Gwalia by August the same year, just one month later. At this time mining at Bald Hill consisted of only three pits, the West, South and North pits, with mining commencing in the North pit.
Mining at Bald Hill was initially undertaken by means of a 65 tonne excavator and 40 tonne articulated dump trucks..Sufficient ore was mined in a six month period to last a 12 month production period. The plant, that was was designed and constructed by Haddington, used the usual method of recovering the tantalite from the ore with gravity separation in spirals technology. The crushed ore was fed into the plant with a front end loader where it was subjected to a vibration screen to separate the varying particle sizes. When the particles reached a size of 1.5 millimeters, or less, they were removed from the spiral circuit. The particles were then collected and passed on to another spiral for cleaning before being placed in drums for transportation to Sons of Gwalia for further processing.
