‘Pump and dump’ group targets IPO rocket Kuniko
Kuniko’s prospectus discloses that it will provide online stock promoters S3 Consortium 1.875 million shares equivalent to $375,000 at the IPO price of 20¢ per share in exchange for S3 Consortium providing marketing services to Kuniko post-listing.S3 sat on a $6.4 million paper profit from the deal based on Thursday’s share-price high as the operator of the Amplicat digital marketing business and Next Investors, Wise Owl, and Catalyst Hunter stock marketing websites.

Elsewhere, social media groups for retail traders on Facebook, Twitter, Reddit and encrypted messaging app Telegram openly promote “pump and dump” schemes for meme-stocks such as Kuniko.

Next Investors, the web and e-mail marketing business sitting under StocksDigital and holding company S3 Consortium, disclosed its plans to invest in Kuniko as early as June and has regularly boasted of its earlier 2020 investment in Vulcan Energy. Other websites that accept paid advertising for penny stocks such as Finder.com and * already cover Kuniko. Finder.com has an active page titled: “How to buy Kuniko shares,” with a small disclosure that the page is a paid advertisement.
