Some very promising advances well done to the energy team.

SBR binders look to be working extremely well insane gain on stress testing. This is also the binder I personally expect to be a large share of market near term.

Silicon anode performing very well and GEN2 looks like it may get some extremely good outcomes, should know by early next year they are over the 300 cycle mark and holding very well already.

Having the full cell paired with an NMC523 cathode also bodes well for a very large segment of the market. There are a lot of cathode mixes out there but last check well over half EV market are still running nickle, manganese, cobalt combo so this should remain the dominant cathode for awhile yet. Who knows it looks like anteo team are going to see what they can do on cathode side next. This along with potential to help corrosion and other matters in green hydrogen generation via electrolysis gives some more blue sky in the mix.

SebTaylor some cordless tools have a battery that’s an 18V 5Ah battery have pulled a few apart to see why they failed before (normally left in the rain by someone….but that’s another story) last one was 2 packs of 5 x 3.6V 2.5Ah cells in series then both packs linked in parallel to each other to form an 18V 5Ah cordless battery. Some very cheap wraps around the cells rusted/corroded and failed and seems that’s what made it short out.

Let’s all hope GEN2 gets the magical 1000 cycle 80% retention milestone but either way looks like they have a binder additive ready to sell and scale NOW, and GEN1 anode would already suit many market segments.
