    I wouldn't put much faith in the abattoir reopening under AACo's ownership unfortunately. They stuffed up pretty badly on that the first time around and don't think they'll have the appetite to go again. They'd struggle to get staff under their management, after what happened last time.

    Maybe a trade-sale or a government sale, maybe. Cost of freight and competition for good quality cows needs to be addressed. Add some AI processing to bring overall costs down once technology allows.

    I believe it's costing them about $1m a year to keep it in overall reasonable condition, but that can't go on forever.

    They wrote it down fairly significantly when they closed it so I don't think it's more than a rounding error in the NTA?
