Beatrice
Biodiesel LLC, a US-based wholly owned subsidiary of Australian Ethanol
Ltd (ASX:AAE), has signed a soy oil supply agreement with CHS Inc to buy
all crude soy oil feedstock required by the Beatrice Biodiesel Project.
Beatrice Biodiesel LLC has previously announced signing of a
marketing agreement with a wholly owned subsidiary of CHS Inc for the
offtake of all biodiesel product from the Beatrice Biodiesel
Project.
The feedstock supply agreement is for all soy oil required for
the production of 50 million gallons of biodiesel product by the Beatrice
Project for a period of three years, with an option to extend for a
further twelve months on expiration of the initial term.
The purchase price for the soy oil under the supply agreement is
made up of the acquisition price from the oil supplier plus a transport
cost and fee payable to CHS.
The supply agreement is structured to the terms and conditions of
grain acquisition and aggregation agreements which are commonly used in
the US grain and agricultural industry.
CHS is the largest retailer and wholesaler of biodiesel in the US
mid-west, and retails a branded biodiesel blended fuel for farm and also
for road use.
