Imidroweekly-The deputy minister of Industries and Mines said that Mehdi Abad�s zinc and lead mine will be launched soon, according to a report released by IMIDRO�s PR.

Chairman of IMIDRO clarified that equipping the mine was one of the major measures to be exercised in mine sector in current Iranian year (started March 21, 2007).

Mehdi Abad�s zinc and lead mine, housing 200 million tons deposit, is the king sized mine of its kind all over the world.

�Yazd province is bearing eminent mine and mining industries projects for the time being�, Ahmad Ali Harati Nik noted.

He further commented that commission of iron ore mines in Bafgh, zinc and lead mine in Mehdi Abad, coal washing plant in Tabas and pelletizing plant in Ardakan are the rest of province�s projects to get underway.
