The talk about the gold price having a beneficial impact on explorers as well as producers has been going on for years now. Heard it most recently in a learned broadcast just last week. But still nothing. Personally I suspect our thinking is now so short term no one is prepared to back something with, say, a five year cashflow horizon. Hard enough to get people to back sound companies with hedges rolling off over a couple of years.
