I agree with you that some might be selling to avoid opportunity cost... I will probably do this myself in small amounts, for the right opportunities.

You've touched on a few things I wanted to delve deeper on over the coming days/weeks.

1. Our ~600k oz gold that we both bought in for.
Yes, management ditched it as apparently ~600k oz x a hypothetical ~$1,000 margin = $600,000,000 is not a good start.

I mean, don't you have to get to 600k oz before you get to 6m oz?

Now look at the reverse-pivot in strategy (as you've mentioned).
They've realised the error and have pivoted back to the resource corridor 2 years after ditching it.

2. The other thing management did which I thought was not overly smart was ceasing the paid promotion.
As a spec stock we raise funds by dilution, which means the higher the share price is then the less dilution we experience.
Stripping away the promotional budget was a failure and imo contributed to a greater than necessary decline in the share price.
Similar to canning the ~600k oz, both of these factors supported the share price and were both stripped away.

I own another stock which hit a discovery hole last week.
They have Next Investors as a paid promoter.
From a mere 30m @ 1.5g/t hit the stock turned over 40% of shares issued, on the day of the hit.
I believe we need to advertise the work that's being done through a legitimate marketing firm, not just an X account which gets 28 views from a good announcement.
