the current aust. govt.[ wanting to spend on infrastructure], in this financial down turn, would have to consider Telstra`s bid most favourably.
why? because australian retirees have millions in their super funds which have in turn invested those funds heavily into TLS shares.
i reckon tls is a safe buy, gambling on that outcome.
the s/p could climb if it is announced in their favour.
