Animoca Brands was listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) in 2015 and subsequently delisted on March 9 this year. Yat revealed that the main reason for the delisting is that the exchange is not very friendly to companies engaged in blockchain."We have been actively seeking another listing location", but Yat admitted that Hong Kong is not the best choice. "We are looking for other jurisdictions that are more suitable for blockchain companies to list." He pointed out that compared with many European countries, Hong Kong does not currently have perfect laws and regulations around blockchain and cryptocurrencies. "I do not rule out the possibility of listing in Hong Kong, but Hong Kong is not our first choice on the shortlist." Yat expects the company to officially announce its decision to relist in the second half of this year.
