Hello friends!
As a long time supporter and believer in AB1, most of you know I have been unbiased in my assessment of their progress.
Today I want to share a my opinions on the current state of play for some of their projects:
To start with, the announcement today about AB1 partnering with Harmony Protocol on a strategic level for The Sandbox.
Some time ago you might remember that AB1 invested I think $1 Million USD worth in Harmony by way of purchasing their tokens. Today's announcement is quite significant because Harmony Protocol is making great strides towards becoming the most scalable, affordable, fastest blockchain for decentralized apps.
Ethereum is experiencing great difficulty at this moment with such a congested network that it takes way too long and costs way too much to finalise transactions. We are not even at a point where blockchain gaming is a consideration for mainstream yet there are already speed and cost issues. This will prove to be a huge on boarding barrier. The benefits of blockchain gaming, specifically NFTs are useless if it costs $1 in fees to buy a 10c item.
I have been following Harmony closely. There are many different blockchain technologies out there but in my opinion the winner is going to be whoever can build a scalable, fast, low cost chain. Harmony has this and I think it's only a matter of time before big projects elects to run on Harmony Protocol. This could be The Sandbox at some point in the future if it does reach the number of users as Minecraft or Roblox.
A lot of blockchain / crypto is all hype. Look beyond the fancy names and you will see only a few are suitable to real world applications.
My small tip for the day is to invest in Harmony One tokens. You can buy them and stake them (stake - like a term deposit) and earn interest currently around 11.5%. It's valued at under 1 cent AUD (0.85). The risk/reward ratio in my opinion is off the charts. I hold 130,000 ONE tokens and will continue to add each month.
Onto The Sandbox. I've always said this is the rocket ship and it continues to fly high. Last night's LAND sale was gone in 10 mins if I remember correctly. Binance are now involved and purchased heaps of LAND. The game maker continues to improve. The weekly streams are great, and I have a feeling they have a few big announcements in the works at the moment. If you hold AB1 shares, it's good enough but if you really want to be in on the action I strongly recommend buying land. Public Beta is in December. They do need to make sure they get enough traction before Hytale launches. Hytale's updates are not frequent which could either mean they are working really hard or behind schedule.
Quidd. There's potential here because I have witnessed how well the NBA Top Shot product is going. It's not even out of beta (only invited people can buy) and it continues to impress me. Quidd can hopefully become the default marketplace for all digital collectables so that the companies producing these products don't have to worry about building a separate marketplace.
For the people that don't understand collecting, it's hard to grasp. But it's like an addiction. You want that 1 of 1 LeBron James card no matter what it takes.
F1 Delta Time. This game still sucks. They introduced their own token REVV and launched staking (deposit your owned cars to earn REVV) but guess what? It's on Ethereum so for me to stake 15 cars would cost me $140 in fees and the REVV I would earn would be worth less. It's like saying you can rent out your property for $500 a week but the agent's fees are $510. What's the point. Refer to what I said about Harmony. This is where it could get interesting and why I want to back Harmony.
Not too much going on that interests me on other fronts.
Buy Harmony. Buy LAND. I only say this as advice and not a "upramp", because putting stuff here doesn't make the price move contrary to what some people believe.
