    "Police heavy handed?"
Mate those days are long gone. Cctv every where, female officers who squeal.at any violence. Juveniles able to walk away laughing at what they can get away with...The Police Service has been handed the ridiculous portfolio of overseeing dysfunctional Married couples via the DV legislation..This takes up 40-50% of work.. Typing endless DV orders on couples that probably should never have married in the first place. But in the case of Aboriginal communities NOBODY wants to touch them or intervene because of the bottomless vortex of despair and suffering they cause on themselves. The dreaded death in custody stigma, the endless paperwork involved, the reports that ATSI member in custody, contact the PLO, contact the District inspector, fill out the necessary forms, justify any forced use, stress the watchhouse keeper out with triple eyes on a single prisoner. Then suffer three years of interval investigations of 'racism, excess force, targeting etc' from some unicorn loving volunteer law student.... Honestly not worth being involved with them or assisting in anyway. Cycle of alcoholism, violence, child abuse, mismanagement of resources will never be broken. Better off trying something more pragmatic like stopping the moon from rising...
