    ABARE in its latest report estimates wheat production to come in around 26.8 million tonnes. Obviously ABARE have not ventured far out of Canberra to arrive at this figure.

    Funny how they trot this BS out just as wheat prices begin surging ...

    Some of the pictures I have seen of harvest on the East Coast and I'd say the logistics of getting most of the east coast crop across the line before it drops it weight are shrinking quickly by the day.

    Wet fields once the crop has ripened don't dry out quickly ... been there done that and its is a nightmare. You get very few hours in the day that you can harvest safely. You can't more than half fill your box. Chaser bin is like a lead balloon. No doubt there will need to be drying capacity employed in some cases. Not to mention bogged b-doubles.
