ABARES figures are always woefully out of date. They seem to employ a lot of people to make forward looking assumptions. I find it a tad ironic that listed companies must always disclaim forward looking statements, yet this crew consistently pump out projected data based on conditions existing some months in the past with gusto.
I prefer to watch Landline or go for a drive in the country for my data.
While you East Coast folk are drowning we in the not so Golden West( more a sort of burnt brown colour) are harvesting loaves of bread from our wheat stalks :)
Tis a bad time for all our farmers and I have sympathy for their plight. It somehow seems unethical to profit from the misfortune of the people who sustain us...but thats the markets I spose.
