Why would the greens just want to tax the polluters via a carbon tax, rather than reducing emmissions? It's like putting a "fat" tax on junk food - it doesn't actually stop people eating it, they just pay more - it isn't really a deterant in my eyes anyway.
So what you are saying is that all the Greens want to do is tax the daylights out of everyone (who are providing for this country for that matter). Not good policy IMO and I would have thought an intelligent person like yourself would be able to see through this.
