    I think you have misrepresented Dr Henrys position at the time.He gave a general warning against excessive promises at election time by either party.Please read link below

    While I agree with you pubic servents should be apolitical,I think a general warning as given was appropriate,particularly when one considers the GFC followed shortly after.
    There has been an effort here to show Dr Henry has been biased in favour of the labour party.In explaining his proposed mining tax to the public(on request) and warning both soides of politics that there is an economic price for excessive election promises,I believe he is doing his job and not being political.
    The liberals have stated they have confidence in Dr Henry and one of their electoral promises is they will implement his tax reform.They dont see any bias.
