As SE mentioned at the recent October 2011 AGM, it may take about 6 months for significant progress on a number of projects to be able to be announced to the market. As I wrote in one of my recent hc posts, it appeared to me that one of the most pleasing aspects of this year’s AGM was a renewed focus by EWC management on its Australian (Abbot Point and Gilmore LNG) projects.
It seems to me that this is the first tangible sign that real progress is being made. As SE states in this announcement: EWC can now embark on the development and commercialization of its major projects. In addition, this LNG plant is located in Australia, another bonus.
EWC’s (new) financial partners (Chandler and EWI) for this project, may also indicate future part financing arrangements and finance options EWC may want to pursue for its other major projects.
All in all a very encouraging announcement.
