good point moon - but krudd was dumped within one term by his own party - which just goes to show how hopeless his own party viewed him.

gillard did a bit better than krudd (gillard was PM leading into an election), but within her first term, she was also dumped.

one thing for sure, is that abbott and his team are not idiots, and they also have to look at the next election - and the easy way would be to promise everything to everybody.

for what it is worth, but stopping the boats is about the only matter that bothers watso. watso does not want muslim immigration via the back door.

given the electoral cycle, then all the other matters will resolve themselves
