Unfortunately for Abbott the worm has turned. It was always going to be the case, given he got into government on a series of lies. He has burnt his credibility capital big time....something that pollies cannot afford to happen. No matter what he says now, sufficient numbers may not believe a word he says.
If that becomes entrenched, this government is doomed.. Just ask Julia Gillard.
