Tony Abbott's response has been to reduce the Overseas Aid budget while simultaneously increasing the Defence budget, denigrating asylum seekers as 'illegals' and censoring news about what's happening with scores of minors in the Nauru Detention Centre. That qualifies as 'miserable'!
