According to the report below from Michelle Grattan; Tony Abbott has discovered the worth of promoting study in Australia by students from Asia.
That's great! Abbott is beginning to tune in!
That would endorse what schools & universities have been doing in earnest for over a decade now - making education our third biggest export earner already. Perhaps he's planning to compensate for the wipeout of the mining sector he reckons the Carbon Tax will cause; fair dinkum, where has he been all this time?
But hey, there's more, from Mia Thomson's report [below] it appears Abbott's also figured out that the NBN is OK after all - apparently he's not going to stop it despite all that ranting & raving. Just ask Mal Turnbull!
Now hold on a minute, wasn't that the main means by which Abbott's $70b black hole was going to be funded? Hmmmm!
