Turnbull has many doing his dirty work.

LIBERALS WHO AREN’T LIBERALS ATTEMPT TO DESTROY A LIBERAL

Back in May, the Guardian exposed a Country Women’s Association-style planned leftist swamping of Liberal branches on Sydney’s north shore.
This takeover was specifically intended to bring down Tony Abbott, the left’s most feared political opponent:
Tony Abbott’s political future could be under threat from a group of activists who have been organising environmentally conscious voters to join Liberal party branches on Sydney’s north shore – a move that could unseat the former prime minister.
Billing themselves as “the counterweight” to the pro-coal power Monash Forum, the North Shore Environmental Stewards have held at least two recruitment functions at which attendees were urged to tap into their networks of environmentally conscious people to join the Liberal party branches in Abbott’s seat of Warringah and on the lower north shore.

Fairfax now reports – without noting the potential influence of any “environmentally conscious” recently-joined Liberal members – the possible extent of the North Shore Environmental Stewards’ influence on Abbott’s preselection ahead of the next federal poll:
Tony Abbott has narrowly avoided being kicked out of the blue ribbon seat he has held for 25 years …
In an unprecendented [sic] challenge that has thrown the spotlight on the former prime minister's political future, Mr Abbott may have secured just 55 per cent of votes cast during a fiery preselection meeting in his safe Sydney electorate of Warringah.
Fairfax Media has been told Mr Abbott – who ran unopposed – was backed by 46 members, while 38 others rejected his renomination to contest next year's federal election.
The size of the protest vote has shocked the Liberal Party, and some moderate members now believe Mr Abbott's grip on the northern beaches seat is not guaranteed and may attempt to oust him during the next term of Parliament with a strong female candidate.

This game might be fun. Let’s all join the Greens and turn that Stalinist hustle into an alt-right powerhouse.
