It is an established fact the in the majority of political parties get thrown out rather than the voters being enthusiastic about the opposition and voting them in as a result
In Australia’s case everyone was sick of the ineptitude, financial mismanagement and the alleged criminal activities that some had been involved in, not to mention the fact that they did not actually know how to conduct business or look after the Australian people.
So Abbott got in with an overwhelming majority not because his party was so wonderful but because they just had to be better than the Labor Party
The problem with this type of win is that the LNP are inclined to believe that they are wonderful and that they can do anything, in other words they believe their own hype. This gives rise to arrogance and the Australian public will be very severe if they do not get a better government than the one they just threw out
IF the Labor Party can somehow find its way and recover Abbott may find that at the next election he gets canned
